[Hello, Route, have an excited pony! She's a little messy and has a twig or two stuck in her curls, but that doesn't seem to have any effect on her smile.]

Look! I made it to the next city! Boink was super-de-duper helpful, and we made a new friend!

[The girl sets the 'gear down on a counter, showing any viewers the surely familiar setting of the inside of a pokemon center. Pinkie ducks out of sight for a few seconds before returning with said friend--a sleepy-looking Rattata.]

Her name is Nibbles! Isn't she cute? She tried to sneak into my sleeping bag last night. I can't blame her--this place is super cold when you don't have a whole coat of hair! Which she does. But she's tiny!

But, uhmn...

[Nibbles is placed onto her head and the 'gear is picked up once more.]

Is it normal to be able to talk with your pokemon? Nibbles doesn't, but Boink has been talking to me lots and lots! I'm not complaining, since he's really really helpful. I just want to know if Nibbles is mad at me for taking her with me. That's all!

Maybe... Do little critters like her do that back home?

Well, of course! Gummy and I have been buds since he was an even smaller baby alligator. But you can get along with any creature. It's so cool! I bet all your pokemon friends love you to itty bitty bits and pieces.

some of them do... but, well, not all of them... And Pokemon are really different from animals back home... maybe I shouldn't have said anything...

[She sighs, but tries to keep smiling.]

I do love them very much, and they seem to like me too...

[She tilts her head a bit, obviously still convinced that Fluttershy's talent extends beyond Equestria's animals.]

Awh, don't be a humble bumblebee about it. You're the best at this sort of thing! I bet you could even make Nibbles feel right at home.

[Look at this enthusiastic faith in you, friend.]

[Pinkie, why so awesome. Why so, so awesome.]

Well, I'll certainly try to make her feel that way when we're all together again. Maybe by the time you get here, she'll have opened up.

[Pinkie lets out a shrill 'YIPPEEEE', causing the Rattata to start. They both settle again in a few seconds.]

That'd be great! Though I really hope she does warm up to me really soon. And I really hope it warms up, soon... Don't they wrap up their winters here? I don't want to become a popsicle before I make it over to all of you!

[She shakes her head.]

They don't do Winter Wrap Up here... They wait for the snow to melt on its own, and the animals wake up and return on their own... Just like the weather, we don't really do anything.

But that's silly. Their spring must be late every year. I bet it even gets later than the springs in Ponyville's past, and for some years that would be pretty hard to do! Living in Johto must be hard.

It's hard to say, but nopony seems to be complaining about it here. I still like this place, even if the weather is weird.

Well, I guess as long as nopony else minds it, I won't either! Because I like this place, too. It's just super different from home, you know?

Very different... I don't think I'll ever be quite used to it, but there's still plenty to like.

[She bobs her head in a nod of agreement.]

Being in a new place gives you a chance at new friends! And new friends means more opportunities for fun and parties.

It's been so long since we've had one of your parties... maybe we can have a big 'welcome Pinkie' party when you arrive here.

[She manages to hold back the excited squeal this time--she doesn't want to disturb Nibbles too much--but just barely. From the broad smile and the wiggling dance, though, her feelings on this plan should be obvious.]

That's a great idea! Or a 'Best Friends Reunion' party, so that it can be a party for all of us! Ooh, we should get to planning right away. Every minute of planning could make another hour of fun!

[She giggles quietly, delighted to see Pinkie so happy.]

There's plenty of supplies here in Goldenrod, so if there's anything you want us to buy, just say so.

Balloons are a must, of course! And lots of really good foods and some punch! But a lot of the stuff will probably have to wait. If you buy the stuff too soon, it might go to waste!

[A pause as a thought occurs.]

Though I guess you could also have a party while you wait, if you do that. You can never have too many parties!

I don't know if we could do that... It's just not a party without you there.

[D'awwwh, you really are a friend, Fluttershy. There is a small squeak as she suppresses another squeal.]

Then we'll just have to keep the party in our heads until I'm almost where you all are.

[i used to wonder what friendship could be~]

We can do that! I'm very good at waiting and being patient.

[There is so much magic here.]

I'm not! Well, not as good as you are. But this will be practice. And I can wait because I just know this party will be super special awesome and totally worth it!

I'm sure you can learn some good patience. You're being patient in getting to us!

[Well, you should have thought of that before making so many friends.]

Oh, silly. I skipped a whole night of sleep so I could get here sooner! Boink told me I shouldn't make a habit of it, though. I'll probably start off again the day after tomorrow, to give these guys a bit of a rest.

[Gasp! D: ]

Pinkie, you shouldn't skip out on sleep! That's really important!

Oh, Fluttershy. Don't you worry about me! I'm not even tired, see?

[She waves her arm in a stunning demonstration of her stamina.]

Besides, Boink already told me that! I just couldn't help myself. I wanted to see you all.

Still, please don't do that again... What if you got here, but then you got sick because of the lack of sleep? Then we couldn't have any parties.
