Look! I made it to the next city! Boink was super-de-duper helpful, and we made a new friend!

[The girl sets the 'gear down on a counter, showing any viewers the surely familiar setting of the inside of a pokemon center. Pinkie ducks out of sight for a few seconds before returning with said friend--a sleepy-looking Rattata.]

Her name is Nibbles! Isn't she cute? She tried to sneak into my sleeping bag last night. I can't blame her--this place is super cold when you don't have a whole coat of hair! Which she does. But she's tiny!

But, uhmn...

[Nibbles is placed onto her head and the 'gear is picked up once more.]

Is it normal to be able to talk with your pokemon? Nibbles doesn't, but Boink has been talking to me lots and lots! I'm not complaining, since he's really really helpful. I just want to know if Nibbles is mad at me for taking her with me. That's all!

I think so, too! But I guess Nibbles could either miss her old home, or just be super shy like my friend Fluttershy! That's what I'm hoping, at least. I just want us to become amazing friends!

Fluttershy? Maria knows Fluttershy too, uu-, is friends with her too! Maria doesn't think Fluttershy is really shy though, or she would never have been friends with Maria.

[That perks Pinkie up. Wowie gee, Fluttershy sure had met a lot of others here.]

Fluttershy is a super sweet pony, even if she's shy! As long as you're not scary or mean, she'll be your friend. I bet she would be your friend even if you were scary or mean!

Uu-, that's why Fluttershy's so great! Maria's sure she has lots of friends, lo-ts of them, since she's always helping all the Pokémon too so they must be her friends too!

[ decisive nod. ]

That's what I think, too! Plus she's always had a way with animals as well as other ponies, so I bet they all love her super duper much.

[Pinkie nods emphatically. Nibbles is really getting tired of being on this girl's head...]

Uh-huh! Back home, we're best friends! Well, we're best friends here, too. I'm going to Goldenrod so that I can see her and all our other best friends that are here!

Maria's in Goldenrod too, uu-uu-! You should come visit Maria too, it'll be fun! We can go and play around with the Pokémon, maybe Fluttershy will want to join too and it'll be even more fun!

Okay! That does sounds like oodles of noodles of fun! It might be a bit before I can actually be there, since I'm all the way in Cherrygrove, but you can bet your biscuits that I'll visit you when I do!

Cherrygrove.. Uu-, that's pretty far away from Goldenrod, right? Maria thinks she's been there too a long time ago!

According to the map it is. It's the town after New Bark!

Maria's been there before, yes! Uu-, that's so far away, so it might take a while to get all the way to Goldenrod..
