[Hello, Route, have an excited pony! She's a little messy and has a twig or two stuck in her curls, but that doesn't seem to have any effect on her smile.]

Look! I made it to the next city! Boink was super-de-duper helpful, and we made a new friend!

[The girl sets the 'gear down on a counter, showing any viewers the surely familiar setting of the inside of a pokemon center. Pinkie ducks out of sight for a few seconds before returning with said friend--a sleepy-looking Rattata.]

Her name is Nibbles! Isn't she cute? She tried to sneak into my sleeping bag last night. I can't blame her--this place is super cold when you don't have a whole coat of hair! Which she does. But she's tiny!

But, uhmn...

[Nibbles is placed onto her head and the 'gear is picked up once more.]

Is it normal to be able to talk with your pokemon? Nibbles doesn't, but Boink has been talking to me lots and lots! I'm not complaining, since he's really really helpful. I just want to know if Nibbles is mad at me for taking her with me. That's all!

No way! I thought I was just super duper lucky to have some friends here, but it's great that you do, too! Friends are the best, right?

[Oh, well. Of course you like to chew. It looks like fun and makes your teeth happy. Nibbles has never tried human before, however. Perhaps after a little snooze.]

Wow! You must be a terrific trainer. I didn't even think to ask Boink or Nibbles about their meals. They mostly just found their own stuff on the route, once we ran out of that food in the box. It sounds like you get along great!

[She apparently doesn't notice the...hand-chewing...]

[Well, you should have thought of that before making so many friends.]

Oh, silly. I skipped a whole night of sleep so I could get here sooner! Boink told me I shouldn't make a habit of it, though. I'll probably start off again the day after tomorrow, to give these guys a bit of a rest.

Yeah, exactly! I think a few people have found their friends here! Gotta be better than being alone.

[The rattata seems to sort of... laugh at that, though to prove it's point, it bites down like it normally would - making America yelp.]

Ow! [He normally only nibbles, not chews like he normally does. Apparently salt from human skin is nice? Who knows. He's telling Pinkie's rattata this though.]

Well I've been working at the breeding centre for the past month, so you learn a few things with that! [He looks proud.]

[Gasp! D: ]

Pinkie, you shouldn't skip out on sleep! That's really important!

Being alone in a new place would be terrible! Though I guess you could always make even more friends, and then you wouldn't be quite so alone anymore.

[Oh wow, would you look at that. Such a shame that they have to be noisy while you get the salt. Doesn't it disturb your meal?

Pinkie looks concerned at Alfred's yelp, but then goes back to her usual bright smile.]

That sounds like fun! I mostly just learn from what my friend Fluttershy says. She's super great with animals. Boink does teach me a little bit, but even he doesn't know everything! He's still young.

Oh, Fluttershy. Don't you worry about me! I'm not even tired, see?

[She waves her arm in a stunning demonstration of her stamina.]

Besides, Boink already told me that! I just couldn't help myself. I wanted to see you all.

Yeah, I'm pretty good at making friends, so I think I'd be okay.

[Yeah, kind of... but then again, he wasn't looking for the taste of blood either. Saying that, Sabotage likes his trainer anyway. He was rescued from a mass flock of rattata that were following this guy who didn't know what to do. Oops.

America waves it off, he's kind of used to being bitten now]

Ah! I've talked to her before, she seems nice. [He smiles.] The centre is fun though! I get to help look after all the pokemon, so that's awesome.

Still, please don't do that again... What if you got here, but then you got sick because of the lack of sleep? Then we couldn't have any parties.

The next town... that's Cherrygrove, right? Great work, Pinkie! You'll be here in Goldenrod sooner than you know it.

As for your Pokemon... From what I can tell, it's because your Boink is a Psychic Type Pokemon, so he can talk to you with his mind. Just like my Starswirl. Nibbles can't do that, so she can't tell you. But I wouldn't worry too much. As long as you treat her right she should be okay. And if you run into trouble you've always got Fluttershy to talk to!

She's probably mad you named her Nibbles.

I thought Nibbles was a really super duper cutetastic name... But I guess I wouldn't like it if someone came alone and gave me an all new name...

Mhmn! [LOOK HOW PROUD OF HERSELF SHE IS, TWILIGHT.] I'm doing my best so that I can meet up with all you ponies as soon as possible!

[Wow, woah. What? Pinkie's eyes are saucers. It's as if she's forgotten that she...knew Boink was speaking to her.]

That's a totally neato talent! Only now I feel kind of bad... Why can't Nibbles talk with her mind? That doesn't seem very fair. I'm sure she has lots and lots to say, too!

[Oh, wow. Pinkie didn't think of that. That would be horrible.]

Okay. I promise I will make extra sure to not skip any sleeping!

[Hmn, yes. She imagines that blood wouldn't be a particularly good meal. But Nibbles does think it's good that you like your trainer. She hasn't decided anything about her own, yet, other than the fact that she's a bit loud. She didn't know about the salty hands thing, though. That's a plus.]

Fluttershy is nice! She's one of my bestestest friends. [Pinkie becomes a bobblehead of nodding. Nibbles is, understandably, disturbed by this.] Wowies! You must be super busy. But I bet all the pokemon think you're super fun. I can tell that you are already!

[phew! Crisis averted.]

[She gives Fluttershy a bright smile.]

No problem! I'm sure you'd be able to take care of me super duper well if I got sick, but that doesn't sound like much fun for you! A party would be much more fun.

Really, one of your Pokémon talks to you and the other doesn't..? Maria thinks that's weird, ve-ry weird, uu-!

I think so, too! But I guess Nibbles could either miss her old home, or just be super shy like my friend Fluttershy! That's what I'm hoping, at least. I just want us to become amazing friends!

Fluttershy? Maria knows Fluttershy too, uu-, is friends with her too! Maria doesn't think Fluttershy is really shy though, or she would never have been friends with Maria.

Exactly. Maybe she thinks you're forcing her to be someone she's not.

[Feed opens up to red-irised eye, closely followed by a big, black nose. A scrambling can be heard in the background, and with a cry, a middle-aged man snatches away the camera with some difficulty.]
“Alright, I get the picture! Food, coming right up. Just. Give. It. HERE!”

[Discord straightens up and examines the Pokègear, looking a right chaotic mess. Ah well, he probably likes it that way. Forgetting the incorrigible creature behind him, he beams brightly at the sight of such screamingly pink and curly hair and such an unmistakable manner. My, don’t you remind him of someone…]
“Why, what have here? If I’m not mistaken, I think I see a Pinkie Pie! How long have you been here, my dear?”

Well, for the same reason unicorns can use magic and pegasi and earth ponies can't, I guess. It's just a talent Psychic-types are born with. It's a bit unfair, but... hmmm, maybe Boink could translate for her?
